Founded in 1974 in Caraquet, the Théâtre populaire d'Acadie is the oldest Francophone professional theater company in Acadia. From original creations to contemporary theater and texts from the classical repertoire, the TPA produces a diversity of shows for both the general public and young audiences, drawing inspiration from a number of artistic currents while giving pride of place to Acadian dramaturgy.
