Since its creation in 1978, the Théâtre l'Escaouette has pursued its artistic mission of representing Acadian realities in a new way through the creation and presentation of original works. We also occasionally translate foreign works. We are convinced that theater has a social significance: it aims to provoke, to provoke thought, to shake minds, to question and to reflect the ideas that are current in Acadie and in the contemporary world, while taking risks with regard to content.
