DansEncorps Company

The DansEncorps Company, the first Francophone contemporary dance company in New Brunswick, has been inspiring audiences since 1979. Guided by the artistic vision of Chantal Cadieux, a leading figure in contemporary dance, the company creates powerful works that invite audiences on a journey of emotion, creativity, and discovery.

Our Mission

At the heart of our work is a strong commitment to advancing artistic creation in French in Acadia and celebrating the richness of our linguistic and cultural identity. We are also dedicated to amplifying the voices of women in dance by providing opportunities for creation, collaboration, and greater visibility.

Artistic Excellence

Each season, the company presents a diverse repertoire ranging from free outdoor performances to stage productions in theatres, offering audiences a wide spectrum of contemporary dance experiences.

Over the years, DansEncorps has collaborated with internationally acclaimed choreographers, including Crystal Pite, Hélène Blackburn, Pierre-Paul Savoie, Serge Bennathan, and Jackie Taffanel. These collaborations continue to enrich the company's repertoire with bold and original creations.

Touring Productions

Equipped with professional touring capabilities, the DansEncorps Company offers turnkey productions that are ready to travel and captivate audiences wherever they are presented.
