During the two (symbolic) weeks that the magnificent magnolia blossom lasts, illuminating the window of his bedroom, ‘the man who resembles me’ (aged 74) reflects on his life, before and after death, as he grapples with his doubts and certainties.

Between a doctor’s appointment and choosing an urn from a catalogue, between a first love and a walk in the woods with his seven-year-old grandson, ‘the man who resembles me’ monologues, waxes poetic and sings of his search for the ‘greater-than-oneself’.
