On his return from a trip to the Holy Land, Balthazar Blanchard, a man in poor health, finds himself confronted with a series of mysteries surrounding a crime of which he is accused, even though he remembers nothing. An ambiguous character, the victim of a car accident that has left him with a temperament that is, to say the least, uncompromising, Balthazar finds himself facing situations for which he is accused, the truth of which will only come to light through circumstances beyond his control. Structured like a detective mystery, Balthazar Blanchard’s long journey comes to a completely unexpected end, the improbable outcome of which is known only to the colourful characters involved.
