The mission of the Festival acadien de poésie is to celebrate, disseminate and promote the works of French-language poets, writers and other artists from Acadia, New Brunswick and Canada, whose professional practice is associated with poetry. The oldest francophone literary festival in Atlantic Canada, the Festival acadien de poésie has been held in Caraquet and the Acadian Peninsula since its first edition in the fall of 1997.
